We had the opportunity to sit down with Ninandre’ Bogue (owner and head artist) from Bogue Art Studios! Nin has been an artist since he was 7 years young and he never stopped following his passions in life. When speaking to Nin you could feel the level of detail he focuses on is a major key to his success! It’s what separates him from all other painters in Buffalo. While others may do the job right, Nin focuses on that extra mile from totally cleaning up his equipment to spending extra time to touch up his art so it looks like a masterpiece in your home.

How did it all start for you?

We started in the year 2000, me and my wife believed greatly in the quality of the work we can produce but what really pushed us over the edge and started the business was when my back doctor told me I needed surgery for my back from working so much construction. I made a decision right there that it was time to pursue my dream and make it a reality! That was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made because I love what we do. Sometimes I have to work from morning to midnight, five or six days a week, but at the end of the day I am happy and that’s what matter.

What inspires you to run this business?

I have enjoyed every struggle that we experienced in this business because it’s that struggle that strengthens you as a person, and as a business. Through the hardship we set up a strong foundation and when the country went through a recession we stayed strong. A lot of our competitors lost business or even went out of business, we were busy the whole way through.

Since I was 7 years old my mom knew I was an artist and in school during all my reviews, when people asked what I wanted todo for a living, my response was one and the same, “I want to make my living drawing and painting”. I didn’t know how I was going to make that a reality but I knew it’s what I wanted to do.

I was first greatly inspired by a picture that I saw in 2002 of a great piece of work that was a high end bathroom. When I looked at it the first time I saw myself and my family in that picture. Meaning that is exactly what I wanted to do and I wanted my family to be there with me. High end projects became our goal and our target, that’s what I’ve been doing ever since!
